About Your Trainer and Coach
LaCharla Figgs, founder of Maryland-based TL Figgs Consulting, has been a private consultant to nonprofits since 2006. With more than two decades of community development experience, LaCharla helps community-based and faith-based nonprofits with agency start-up, board development, strategic planning, and other agency- and program-building services.
LaCharla is the former Deputy Director and Director of Housing and Community Development at Enterprise Community Partners in Baltimore. Enterprise is a leading provider of capital and expertise for affordable housing and community development in the U.S.
During her time at Enterprise, LaCharla delivered training workshops and provided organizational development assistance to community-based nonprofits in 16 states. She also authored several how-to guides and helped produced a training video for nonprofit boards. As a consultant, she has worked with local governments, national nonprofit agencies, faith-based nonprofits, and community development corporations.
LaCharla provides in-person workshops, consulting, and coaching to U.S. nonprofits and virtual training and coaching services through TL Figgs Consulting Online.
